Grab your friends, bring a drink and some snacks, and spend a relaxing evening in our glittering mosaicked space! Attendees will be treated to a live performance by Corey Bernhard + Sanche Ramírez with lights and visuals by Luminous Abstract. Fusing elements of jazz, ambient, electronica and their own personal project influences, Corey Bernhard + Sanche Ramírez are musician/producers who combine sides to create an improvisatory audio experience. Luminous Abstract’s video and light performance will be inspired by PMG and include video projections mixed and generated live from synthesizers and analog electronics. At our craft tables join Teaching Artist Erin McGill and create a botanical hair accessory or boutonniere from scraps of fabric inspired by Día de los Muertos.

Attendees can also enjoy self-guided tours of our rarely-seen mosaicked basement, and can view our exhibition, “Walking Round My Head: Works by Stephen Wright.”

ABOUT THE MUSICIAN:
Corey Bernhard (musician, composer, producer)
From touring with superstar jam fusion group Snarky Puppy or hip-hop icons Pusha T and Talib Kweli, to backing up Ed Sheeran on SNL or playing duo with Ariana Grande live on MTV, to playing experimental sets with members of The War on Drugs, to writing and producing with Philadelphia legends Bilal and DJ Jazzy Jeff, it’s hard to fathom how Corey Bernhard has time to show up at his day job as keyboardist on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. One thing is certain: Bernhard is one of his generation’s most dynamic (and busiest) musicians. Hailed by Okayplayer as a “pillar of the Philadelphia music scene,” his solo debut Fool’s Pirouette was released in January 2022 and was featured on NPR’s notable new music playlist. Reviewing his pandemic era collaboration with friend and Philadelphia rapper The Bul Bey, SWTS (2020), WXPN raved that the duo “tackles big themes to a beautiful score.” In addition to releasing his own music and working with the aforementioned, the in-demand keyboardist/producer has performed with Marsha Ambrosius, Bootsy Collins, Teedra Moses, Lil Simz, Cory Wong, Trombone Shorty, Donald Harrison, Jr, Terence Blanchard, Eric Roberson, John Scofield, Meshell N’Degeocello, Lalah Hathaway, Andrew Bird and Rachel & Vilray among others. He was also co-founder and producer/composer of the band Killiam Shakespeare, which released 3 projects including collaborations with Aloe Blacc, Freeway, and other rising artists, receiving acclaim from Wax Poetic, Afropunk, The Huffington Post and more.

Bernhard’s sophomore solo release, A Blessed Leap into Eternity is a sprawling experimental folk jazz suite set to release in early 2025.

Bernhard was born in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from Harvard as an economics major.

Sanche Ramírez
Pulling in all 4 directions, Sanche Oisín Ramírez is a conveyer of things earthly and unearthly. A self described “amateur multi instrumentalist” producer and composer from Cork Ireland, his roots grow from the Indigenous Yaqui Peoples of northern México, Guatemala, and the Bay Area, California, settling in Philadelphia A diverse and divergent mix of bejeweled flotsam and tattered jetsam floats and crashes through techpathic musical explorations, however this potent question seeks no answer on his latest musical endeavor ‘The Santo Casúr. The project’s last two records (‘Judge, ‘w/Tech’) taking shapes akin to Industrial, Electronica, Classical, Post-Punk, Synth Wave, Progressive/ Experimental Rock & Ambient Music.
